I received a call from Matt explaining that his daughter had dropped one of her mothers earrings while walking off the beach at the beach entrance way. She had a general idea where she had dropped it and I met them the next day after I finished a search just blocks away at a marina. They had the other earring so I decided to use my Whites v3i detector with a a small (4×6) coil since it would provide the best chances of finding the fingernail size earring which on the V3i came up as a +3 on the screen. We gridded an area I began searching, listening very carefully for the small item. After about 25 minutes and some small foil pieces later I found the earring just below the surface of the sand. The little girl was so relieved to be able to give her mom back her earring she felt so bad about losing. Another successful search and return. That made 2 for 2 that day! Everyone was smiling again and enjoying their vacation!
