LOST PLATINUM WEDDING RING IN WAYNE,PA RECOVERED BY ED CROPSKI

I responded to a post in the lost & found section on Craigslist from someone who had lost his platinum wedding ring on a baseball field. After speaking with Mike he explained that he had lost it a couple weeks ago on the field while playing with his son at a T-ball game. We met at the field and went over the events of Mike’s day leading up to the loss,I gave Mike some orange marker flags to mark the areas he had been in all day to narrow the search area down. Using my Whites V3i metal detector I began a grid pattern within the marked out area. After finding a couple pieces of trash I received the kind of signal I was hoping for from the detector and moved some grass aside under the search coil. There was Mikes ring shinning in the sun! Since it was so hot out that day Mike went back to his car to cool off and as I walked over to him he thought I was just packing it up for the day with no luck but when I gave him the thumbs up and told him I got it! He lit up with total amazement! We went back to the spot I had found the ring in and he stated that is where he was applying sunscreen to his son the day of the loss. He just couldn’t believe I had found it and now he had it back on his finger after almost giving up on ever seeing it again. He was extremely thankful as will be his wife he stated for my service and never realized the ability of todays professional metal detectors and people who use them can achieve. Another great day!!!
