Recovery #473
By: Jeff Laag
Received a call from Amber. Amber explained that her husband lost his wedding ring while playing in the surf and getting “rolled” by a wave. Amber said she had someone else out to look for it and he could not locate the ring. After gathering details and checking tide and surf data I decided that Tuesday afternoons low tide would be a good time to try for the ring. Shortly after arriving at the beach I began a “meticulous” searh grid from the wet sand down into the surf. About 45 minutes later I had the ring in my scoop. The waves were pretty rough and I myself got “washed” a few times but still managed a successful recovery. Another happy couple!
See Ambers review below:
“Sunday afternoon my husband was boogie boarding with our son in Cape May. My husband has recently lost some weight and therefore his ring was a little loose. A wave knocked my husband off balance, and a secondary wave wiped him out, losing his ring in the tide.
i called one service and they were unable to locate the ring right after it happened.
I was in contact with Jeff as well, who was busy the day of, but said he would search in days to come.
Tuesday afternoon came, and he had found it!
I will forever be grateful! he took an hour out of his day and was able to find it right where my husband knew it came off.
i highly recommend to call Jeff if you lose anything!
