LOST WEDDING RING DURING YARD WORK RECOVERED IN JERSEY CITY,NEW JERSEY. ED CROPSKI

I received a call from a woman asking if I could locate her husbands wedding band that they believe was lost in their backyard while doing yard work this weekend.

As I just finished up a successful lost ring recovery earlier this morning I decided to see if I could make it 2 for 2 and headed out to her home. Arriving at the house I was greeted by the wife who then took to the small backyard but there were not only many small garden beds but piles of weeds, grass some of which was already bagged so this was going to be another challenge today. I decided to use my White’s V3i metal detector and small search coil.

After searching all of the garden beds and lawn area I still had no ring so even though I felt kind of bad dumping out the bags of grass they had it was the only place left I felt the ring could be if in fact it was lost there at all? Dumping 3 out of 5 bags and still no ring I dumped the 4th,spread out the contents and waved my search coil across the debris “Bam!” a load response came from the detector. I got started running my fingers through the grass clippings and out popped the gold ring! I called her over and just when she was ready to give up I held the ring up and brought a smile to her face. Another successful recovery, another happy customer!

FAMILY HEIRLOOM LOST IN POND DURING WEDDING CELEBRATION AT KNIGHTS PARK COLLINGSWOOD,NEW JERSEY

I received a call this morning from a very upset young woman explaining that she had lost her grandmothers ring this weekend while celebrating her own wedding. The good thing is she has an idea where she lost but the bad thing is the it was off the side of a small bridge crossing a pond. She went on to explain that her and her new husband were shaking a bottle of champagne while holding it over the side of the bridge and then suddenly realized her grandmothers diamond ring she was wearing was gone! Although this was not her new wedding ring which she was wearing on her other hand it meant the world to her just the same.

Although I had an appointment look for another ring today I agreed to meet her first in the morning since it was so close to my house. After packing my water detecting gear and White’s MX Sport metal detector I arrived at the little bridge at the park to be greeted by the newly couple. Going over a basic reenactment of the event I got on my waders,fired up my detector and entered the knee to waist deep water which was not only quite rocky on the sides but also had lots of leaves on the bottom giving the ring lots of places to hide. After numerous trash targets and a few coins things were not looking to good but I decided to look a little closer to the bridge even though they were both sure they saw it land in the water further away. A couple signals later I got the nice low tone signal from my metal detector and eased my scoop into the mucky leaves and carefully scooped and dumped the contents onto the bank of the pond. Moving the black leaves suddenly there was a shiny burst of gold, it was the ring! The couple shouted out in amazement "You got it!” I was equally surprised as this was not an easy find but there it was finally. Another incredible recovery and happy customer!

LOST WEDDING RING ON BEACH RECOVERED IN LBI,BEACH HAVEN,NEW JERSEY BY ED CROPSKI

Now that’s a beautiful sight! Searching a section of beach for a mens wedding ring lost over 2 weeks ago and I get a screamer hit from my White’s TDI Beach Hunter PI metal detector. I look down and there’s the ring washed out of the sand laying on the surface just waiting for me! You don’t see that often,Awesome!

I received a call from a woman whose husband had lost it in the sand while playing with the kids weeks before and thought it was lost forever. But they had seen my Facebook page NJ Lost Ring Finder and figured why not give it a try? They were very happy they did! I met up with the very grateful couple a few days later for the return.
